The Central Florida Informative Radio Network (CFIRN) is an independent amateur radio group operating from the heart of the Sunshine State, broadcasting every Wednesday on 7.180 MHz (40 Meters). Fusing technical high-frequency expertise with civic readiness, we ensure our local area stays informed on core parameters before severe weather events occur.
While members of our team are actively involved in official emergency communications groups like ARES and RACES, CFIRN operates as an independent, public-facing, and community-centric platform. We believe amateur radio should be an ongoing source of education, curiosity, and local connection during blue-sky days.
